Don’t panic, I know it’s only August!
Although I’m not ashamed to admit that I am already excited for Christmas - am I mad? Perhaps! However it does mean that my Christmas enthusiasm translates into the cutest holiday themed mini photoshoots! Hurrah!
Every year I run Christmas mini sessions and every year I try to make them more fabulous than the year before. Well this year I’ve really outdone myself my amazing friend and Stylist, Taleana Quintal has built the most beautiful set specially for Maisie Eden Photography. Haha seriously though, I cannot take any credit for it this year, which is annoying as it’s the best one yet! We’ve gone for rustic Christmas vibes with a hint of Scandi Chic - beautiful, stylish and timeless.
All jokes aside, this Christmas is going to be amazing and I can’t wait to begin shooting these mini sessions. I know there are lots of questions around them, as I didn’t know many of you last year. So Hi, it's great to have you and I hope to meet you this winter season!
For those of you lovely lot who signed up to my waitlist, you will have early access to the booking system on Monday 29th August. The remaining sessions will go on sale publicly from September 1st.
Shooting will be on Saturdays and Sundays, starting on 29th October and ending on 27th November. Everyone will receive their images in time for Christmas! If you’d like to use the images for holiday cards, I recommend booking one of the earlier sessions so you allow plenty of time for editing, receiving your images and having your cards printed.

How much are the mini sessions?
The mini sessions are 750 AED and include a 30 minute shoot with 10 digital files
How many children can be in them?
The maximum is 4 children and only children from one household per session
Can mom and dad join in too?
Ok so I do get asked this a lot and I totally understand why however I do say “no, these are specifically designed for children only”. That being said, I can snap a quick shot of you with your child/children but this is ‘unofficial’. The reason I don't want to say yes to this is because the set is sized for children so once you put an adult in there, the proportions go a bit skewed and it really irritates me because to my eye it doesn’t look quite right! So I don’t want to sell it. There. That’s my secret.
What should my child wear?
These types of novelty sessions are great because you can style them in so many ways. They’re fun and festive and children are free to play and pose as they wish. You can go super casual with some neutral linen shorts and tee. You can go more formal and do a tartan dress. Mace & Co are my fave for formal attire! Do you have a special Christmas Day outfit for your child? Why not put them in that? I also love the whole PJ’s vibe. They’re super cute and comfy, you get very wholesome images and the children have a lot of fun feeling like they’re breaking the rules wearing their pyjamas.
Can I bring some props along?
Yes! If you have a special toy that your child loves then by all means bring it along. I do have a range of props ready however feel free to include some small things.
What age are the Christmas sessions suitable for?
The Christmas mini sessions are suitable for 3 months and upwards. For children who can’t sit up unaided, I have little poses we can lie them down in, we can prop them up with cushions and props and I do ask mom or dad to sit in for a couple of shots for variety.
Do you sell Christmas cards?
I don’t offer these however your photographs from this shoot make the best holiday cards and many of my clients from last year had them printed so I have recommendations.
Where are the mini sessions done?
I have a dedicated studio space in my home where I do all my shooting which is located in Al Sufouh 2, Dubai. I will send out a location pin to all booked clients.
Can I change my session?
All sales are final and non-refundable. You can request to swap your session however this is subject to availability and can only be done up to 7 days prior to your session. I will do my best to accommodate if given enough notice.
How long will it take to receive the edited images?
Editing time will be 10 days
Will we get to choose our favourite 10 images?
Yes, absolutely! I will put all the best edited shots into an online gallery which I will then send to you. You can then select your favourite 10 images and if you would like to purchase any additional shots you may do so.
